Hthomas
if i had a capo on the 3rd fret, and the chords G,em7,Cadd9 are being played, how do i figure out what the chords would be without the capo?
Mr. Natural
Refer to a chord chart.
Gilliangirl
If you're capoed at the third fret, the chords you're playing aren't really those chords. You're playing those shapes, but the chords you would be playing would be up three half-steps (three frets) and so would be Bb, Gm7, and Ebadd9 (I think). If you played the shapes without the capo, you would be playing G, Em7 and Cadd9. Make sense?
