project Posted December 24, 2009 Share Posted December 24, 2009 Do you think a Les Paul Custom would look good with "cream" or "white" mounting rings? I'm fixin to change the bridge pup on my Custom to a pup with no cover. I thought cream or white wood look good with an uncovered pup. I thought it would create a nice contrast of colors. I'm just not sure how cream or white would look with all the gold hardware. What do you think? Also, I should probably mention that my Custom is "black". Thundergod Posted December 24, 2009 Share Posted December 24, 2009 I think Ive seen a couple of customs with creme plastic, they looked different but nice... kind of a mis between a standard and a custom. djroge1 Posted December 25, 2009 Share Posted December 25, 2009 On my other computer I have a link to a web site that gives a pretty good picture of what changes would look like on a LP. It is a modeling program and it lets you change body color, wood, hardware (chrome, gold, black, white etc...) pup color, knobs and a bunch of other things. Someone here posted the link once and it was a great help when I was making some cosmetic changes on my LP. I'll look around and if I find it I'll post it for you here.
