Hey TaylorPlayer! I had an AS73 Ibanez just like that. I traded it for the Casino. But they are great sounding guitars!

Ha... funny you should say that... It was a Casino that got me jonesing for a ES335 style guitar in the first place, but no trades were available. I kind of stumbled onto the AS73 by accident and really am liking it.

i absolutely love aj's yamaha.

Cheers Cunkhead. It's been abused for many years being stored in an outbuiding in the cold and damp.

It could be an interesting project to restore. It needs a neck reset, refret and the pickups are original and not too clever by today's standard. Soon after I bought it in 1978, I "refinished" it with about 1/2" of clear polyurathane!

In those days I was a massive Phil Manzanera fan (Roxy Music) and he played an SG2000 quite regularly. I still love them. I was so chuffed when I bought my SG and have been a Yamaha fan ever since. The SG30 was one of it's forerunners and the first (?) to have the twin devil's horn.

I believe they had to be marketed as SGB in the States as there is apparently another brand which has an SG. Some folk, not too far from here, say they are rather good!

It served me very well through School and University bands and was responsible for a few "notches on the bedstead" if you know what I mean. So has great sentimental value for me. The 335 only gets admiring glances from men in their 40s with beards and anoraks. Why is that?

I've only ever seen one before. Last year in Denmark St, one was being sold for £100.

I really must have Robbie look at it and get some pointers.

Forgive the ramblings
