I would NOT have guessed that that is a Classic.

 

It seems they spared it the snot-green inlay treatment.

 

The following is an interesting article on the introduction of the LPCPP model' date=' written by Mike Slubowski from the 'Les Paul Forum'.

I don't know exactly when the, erm, [i']aged[/i] inlays were introduced into the Classic range. Perhaps if Classic owners were to post details of later than 1995 with normal and the earliest example with the aged ones we could find out!

 

As this one of mine is from '95 it has the wider binding in the cutaway and 'Les Paul Classic' on the headstock.

The chair is a 2003 model Slovenian made 'Country Slatback' in natural Pine finish. We have four!!! It seats very well.
