DAS44
I've looked up some pics and it only comes up with flattops. I wonder if any of you can ID this as an A50. http://www.larkstreetmusic.com/stock.html (on the right click archtop acousticcs and then Guild A 50) If so I might be snagging her. ksdaddy
Click on the little guitar icon beside the listing, it'll bring up a big pic. Looks to be in nice shape. The flaking is pretty common to those old Guilds. The finish flakes off just like paint off the clapboards of an old house. $750 is a good price for an old US made archtop. I would think it would be comparable to an L48.
CAMELEYE
Looks right. Keep in mind his is a "thin body" not a full body archtop. Also I think Guilds tend to have a somewhat narrow width fingerboard especially at the nut. Ask Buzzy before you buy.
DAS44
So any suggestions for string brands for archtops? I saw a thread a while back about it. I'm too damn lazy to go find it.
