BigKahune
This might be a better tool for you http://www.all-guitar-chords.com/ Click on "Chord Name" Then click on the strings where you want them - open, dead or on a fret, and it'll give you the chord name. daylightrobbery
What, better than someone who's just got in from the pub?? How very dare you!?!? BTW. that site is a bit thin on the ground with regards to inversions..... just sayin':-"
BigKahune
Not you daylightrobbery. What better authority then a pubber from Das Vaterland. For our friend macaibhistin. At least you can plug a fingering into All Chords and have a name come out, a time saver for the uninitiated.
daylightrobbery
LOL Oddly enough, had a dream last night where I invented a completely new instument ( sadly forgotten how it worked) and a new chord ( I think it was the secret one Leonard Cohen wrote about)!!! jefleppard
this is an awesome chord because you can use it as a Bm with a minor 6th fragment or with the low E to make it, as was suggested, an Em9. this was my favourite chord for many years. i still love it - maybe partly because i don't know its proper name. lol.
