markwillplay
Anyone know of a good guitar shop in or near Charleston SC? I am going down there for vacation and would love to do some shopping!!
ryanfender
Ye Old Music is the best shop in town. Also, Encore Music in Mount Pleasant. Ye Old often gets custom Gibson stuff.
larryp58
markwillplay! how's it going! Where in NC are you located? Ye Old is the only shop I found down there. Nice place. Haven't been in a while, I assume it's still there.

Fenno
It's by far the best Gibson dealer in the area. That's where I got my J-45 Custom (of course I had to wait a few months for the factory to build it).
markwillplay
excellent!! I am vacationing with my entire family. We are celebrating my mom and dad's 50th by all getting houses donw there for a week (Isle of Palms). I will make my brother go with me. I don't know how far the guitar shop is from that Irish Pub down there but that sounds like a good early evening to me....or morning, hell, I am on vacation right? :-
Fenno
Ye Olde is in Hanahan, a town near N. Charleston. A bit of a drive for Isle of Palms. Head's up: They're closed on Sundays.
PetPeeves
Take I-526 to I-26W exit Remount Rd. Cross over Rivers Ave to Remount, go up a light or two and look for the CVS Pharmacy on the left. Turn left at that light (Yeamans Hall Rd) and it'll be on the left in that sorta V shaped shopping center. Tell Mike and Chuck Laura said "Hi." EDIT- OR ...Exit 526 at Rivers Ave (HWY 52N) and turn Right onto Remount Rd. That'd probably be easier.
