Super24 Posted June 25, 2010 Share Posted June 25, 2010 Are singles or humbuckers a standard size? I want to delve into doing some mods on an old beater guitar that I have at home. I measured the pups that are in there now (don't ask me what brand they are). They were 1.25" wide. I've looked at different sites that sell pups and they don't typically list the dimensions. RichCI Posted June 25, 2010 Share Posted June 25, 2010 Pretty much when it comes to humbuckers or Strat or P90 or Telecaster pickups and probably some others like Filtertrons. The only weirdness I'm aware of is if you get pickups with "F spacing" which have the pole pieces spaced further apart to allow for the string spacing created by Floyd Rose tremolo systems. You should be alright if you're replacing a humbucker with a humbucker or a Strat pickup with a Strat pickup or whatever. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
