jbarker393
just had mine in to get the frets leveled and they only had it 2 days. Guess it depends on how busy and how backed up they are on other jobs.
deepblue
Depends on how busy they are. I have had as little as a day, and as much as two weeks.
dleth
I had a horror story last year. My oldest guitar went in for pickup replacement, new pots and caps, all wiring and fret leveling/dressing and a new nut and it was gone 7 weeks. They gave me a MIM Tele to play with in the mean time that sucked. The end result was super but what a painfully long time without my old friend.:) Dave
Guest rogerb
It definitely depends on the work load the technician is under. A basic set up probably takes less than 30 minutes but it is usually "first come, first serve". Always a good ideal to call ahead.
Twiz
Were you just setting the action and intonation, or doing something major? If it's just a simple set up, you can do that yourself with a couple screw drivers, a machinist's scale, a cotton cloth (so you don't ding anything with a screw driver) and a tuner. This book is a good reference to learn how to do that simple stuff.
