ksdaddy
I have a cheap POS Acer Aspire, 3 or 4 years old, I dunno. Cheap but just runs. And runs. And runs. The DC jack has been "iffy" lately and today went Tango Uniform. I went on youtube and found a video showing how to repair it. I took at it tonight and it was a lot like taking the house apart to change the hall light bulb. It was just a bad solder joint. I put it all back together with no extra screws and it works fine. But you laptop mechanics don't get paid enough. I'm convinced of that.
Murph
Heavy equipment, hydraulics, firearms, plumbing, welding, guitars, tube amps, a little mandolin..... No problem. I can barely drive a computer, I'm not digging into one. Good on ya.....
pohatu771
I open mine up every few months to clean out the dust that accumulates on the fans. While I'm there, I tighten the hinges. People seem to like to open my computer too far and it slowly unscrews one side of the hinge.
