Notes_Norton
So how did all hollow and semi-hollow guitars become custom? We're in the "Gibson Custom" category after all. Does that make my ES-330 worth more? Are all ES-335's also now custom guitars and worth more? Or do they really mean cuss-them? Inquiring minds want to know. :-D Notes ? Rame
The Memphis division (where the regular semi-hollow and hollow body guitars are made) was made part of the Custom Shop a few years ago (around 2003 or 2004 I believe). Here is a good link to a forum thread that explains a little more. http://forums.gibson.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=815 I'm not sure about how that affects the aftermarket value. Generally we refer aftermarket value queries to aftermarket dealers such as Gruhn Guitars here in Nashville.
Notes_Norton
Thanks for the explanation. My 330 was made in Kalamazoo, and I have no intention of selling it. I posted that all in fun, but I do appreciate the straight answer. Notes ?
Rame
ha! Well I'm a little slow on the uptake this morning and didn't catch the sarcasm. No harm no foul.
