09_339
I have a new ES-339, when I play certain notes I get a resonate buzz that sounds metallic in nature. Kind of like the pickup mounting spring vibrating against something. I've tried pressing on pickups, bridge etc. to isolate but it appears to be something inside. Ideas? ibis
Saddle-screw retainer wire? Disregard if the bridge is a Nashville, not an ABR-1.
09_339
That was my first guess so I put a wafer of foam to see, It sounds like it's coming from under the top. Pickup lead resting against a spring or something. I guess I can try pulling pickups to see.
Captain Bb
I agree - pull out the pick-ups and pull out some of the slack wiring. There's plenty of slack in there and it could be touching something and causing the vibration.
bobv
If you have a little mirror on a stick (the dental type or mechanic's type) you can see from the f-hole right under the bridge pickup and you can see if the wire is hitting the pickup mounting springs.
