TWANG Posted March 23, 2008 Share Posted March 23, 2008 I dunno where you're at. the turret board will shorten the distance between components, providing better signal path I assume... improving tone, reducing noise.. I gather not being the expert around here. and it's sturdier and will take more swaps without complaint. the components are what are going to make the biggest changes. May as well use the board you have and get practiced at it.. and use the turret board later if you think you need or want it. I suggest marshall mods with sprague capacitors. I just did that to a combo head, not having any extra mallorys or sozos around, and spragues are the sharp fast response caps.. hard to tell what sharp means.. wanna add some context to that? easy is kind of relative, too.. easy for who? compared to what? not giving you a bad time. just trying to be careful and helpful.
