Fadedepi
I'm thinking of putting cream colored parts on my faded cherry G-400. (Pup rings, switch ring) Perhaps even pickguard and knobs. Any thoughts? Good, Bad or Ugly?.... Fe

13yguitarman
maybe not the cream pickguard
RotcanX
Hmmm... interesting. I think it would kinda sorta work on a brown one, not so sure about a cherry one. I would suggest that you mock it up in Photoshop before spending $$$ on parts.
Fadedepi
I was thinking the cream colored pup rings would blend in with the neck binding. Pickguard maybe overkill, however, the cream will need to tie in somewhere else on the body. Fe
Fadedepi
Personally, I think the faded cherry or brown would look better with some lighter colored parts. This offsets the darker colored body. It brings out more detail in both areas on the guitar. To me, dark on dark doesn't get it. The Dot Studio would benefit from this type color scheme also....IMHO.
