TWANG Posted April 28, 2008 Share Posted April 28, 2008 the last two I bought were shipped with Sovtek EL84 power tube and EH 12ax7 preamp tube. People usually swap out the Sovtek for a JJ but I like 'em both. and a JJ on the 12ax7, too, but I can't tell any difference with mine! earlier versions had chinese tubes. TWANG Posted April 28, 2008 Share Posted April 28, 2008 the best change I ever tried was a 5751 preamp tube I like the sovtek ok.. though I'd probably go jj easier if they didn't go south so often.
