Doing My Own Set-up

I have gotten so frustrated withmyacoustics that I amclose to giving them up completely. I can't seem to find anyone that can do a set-up on my acoustics to my liking,so, I have decided the only thing to do is to do it myself. I am a bit apprensive though. I sometimes tinker with my electrics but it is alot easier to undo things on the electrics. Are there any good sites to help me get started ?

Thanks for the link. I will definantly check it out. I haven't found anyone that could set up my acoustics to be played comfortably. I like a nice low action; maybe lower than most would. I don't play leads up the neck on my acoustics so a little buzzing is fine as I usually just play in the first 6 or 7 frets. I may should pick myself up something cheap to practice my set-ups on.

+1 frets.com.

No need to buy a guitar to practice on, just buy a new spare saddle. Use it to practice on. Keep the original saddle as reference.

If you cut nut slots go slow and check it often. Worst case you buy and replace it.

Adjust neck relief 1/4 turn at a time and check it, and you won't mess it up.

Be patient and follow frets.com info carefully.

It's not too difficult really.

Would love to hear how it goes!
