Toneseeker Posted November 17, 2008 Share Posted November 17, 2008 Hi Guys, I'm new to this forum and this is my first post. I have a 2001 Korean Samick built Sheraton in Tobaco Burst. I have upgraded the electrics and swapped the pickups for Bare Knuckle Stormy Monday's. It sounds awesome. Problem is it wont stay in tune. Some of the strings actually go sharp so I'm not suspecting the tuners. I think it's got something to do with the nut (it's driving me nuts), and I've heard about a compensated nut from a company called Earvana. Has anyone tried this and if so which one do I buy. It's usually not a hard thing to fix, try widening the nut slots with an old wound string and then lube it with either a product like Nut Sauce or even lead pencil dust. Stan.
