NAMM photos...of discontinued Elitist models LOL

Yeah, "ain't it the truth?!" This thing Epi says about the "First, in the new 'Historic' line," in reference to

the Wilshire, intrigues me. I wonder if they're going to make "Historic" and VERY expensive USA versions

of more original Epi guitars...including the thin-line archtops, or others, that they discontinued with the

Elitist series. Like "Ok, you guys...you want USA Epiphones, it's gonna cost ya!" LOL!

But, I really do hope, they'll re-introduce the Elitist (even if they call it something else), now that they CAN

produce them, with equal quality and correct specs...at Qingdao. But..who knows?

I hope they rebadge the Epiphone elitist Les Pauls/SGs with the Gibson headstock as 'Gibson, Made in Japan'. Better still if they start to make them to the same Japanese specs/standards but in the new plant in China they could rebadge them as 'Gibson, Made in China'.

It's an interesting time we Epiphoners live in right now... Many things are a-changing... Expensive Epiphones comin out, other, less expensive Epiphones being pulled out... Silence over the two new cheap(er) guitars comin out this year (?) (Inspired by JL, LE 1964 Texan)...

We gotta keep our eyes open for any news... I'm in for a new Acoustic guitar and that secret Texan really speaks to me already...

the Sweetwater NAMM 2009 guitars are no longer listed...

They probably sent some Chinese luthiers with Baseball bat-shaped guitars shouting: "You not say for future guitars (1964 Texan, Inspired by JL Casino) or I kill you bones wit tis bat made mahogany!" and deleting that page with the big Epiphone Ceo saying: "You leave our secrets alone!!! Why, you little *homersimpsonchoke*!!!"
