Congratulations! =D>

I hope yours sound as awesome as mine. I got mine on wednesday.

Congrats to you too!=D> I am putting new strings on mine now as I write this...lol

I just ran the serial number through the guitar project Epiphone guitar dating search engine and found that it was made in China in December of 2007. I'd say if you buy one of these definately get it setup properly and the saddle and nut upgraded. I was lucky to get one used with those mods already done.

Really? Mine was made in Indonesia on December of 2007

Yeah...weird because when I ran the serial number through at this site http://www.guitardaterproject.org/epiphone.aspx it said:

Your guitar was made at the

Qingdao Plant (Epiphone)' date=' China

December 2007

Production Number: 0370[/i']

It also said this:

Gibson: Qingdao

The Gibson Qingdao Plant was opened in October 2002, Qingdao, China. It is the only plant run by Epiphone in Asia. Both acoustic and electric guitars are made here. The factory is dedicated to making Epiphone and only Epiphone guitars with the aim of producing higher quality guitars.

Hey OGP what strings are you using' date=' well let me recommend some other ones that you might not be using and I have found to be pretty good for those Birds. Try some of the DR Rares (http://www.drstrings.com/main.html ) I think they will fit with most of the Epi lines and give you that bright to warm feeling you might want out of your Bird.Ship[/quote']

I think it is spring coming, because a lot of birds flying.

Anyway, thanks for the tip! What exactly you are using in your bird? Because it sound like I want to try those strings.

Thanks for the tip Ship. Right now I have a set of D'Addario 80/20 Bronze EJ11 (12-54) lights on it and it sounds and feels pretty awesome! I will check out those DR's though as I have read goog things about them.

This is a real sweet guitar! I think if anyome buys one they really should at least have a good setup done and upgrade to better saddle material like bone or tusq. I think the tusq saddle and nut on mine really make it sound a lot better than the plastic ones that came with it. I was lucky I guess that this deal came up at the right time!

X2!

That's an awfully nice looking backside for a 'Bird--most I've seen have been much less "banded".

Dugly O:)

Yeah! The back is really nice and so are the sides. I know that most of the others I have looked at don't have what you describe as banded. All I know is that the original owner bought it new online and had it upgraded and setup nicely. It has excellent fretwork, intonation and even the binding is neat and tidy. I have yet to see a Hummingbird as nice looking or as good sounding at any store I have seen them in.

For those interested in hearing it here's a video of it in action! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Jdj9et5CXc
