LP-100

Recommended Posts

Ive had one in the shop.

I liked it a lot better than the G310, an sg type similar model.

It had a pretty nice neck, with very good fretwork.

the tuners weren't grovers, but they worked just fine.

the pickups were a tad muddy to my taste, but I'm a p90 guy to start with.

also they are hotter output, while I prefer vintage output.

The pots and all electronics worked fine.

altogether a typical epiphone approach.. solid dependable playable and sounds pretty good right out of the box, for not much money.

The goth which is a studio model, is, I think, a better deal, because you get the carved top, and the set neck, as well as grover tuners and different pickups.

But the lp100 is certainly a good deal and will produce a lot of sound and fun playing.

It will definately respond to upgrades in pup. electronics. might want to put a bone nut in it sometime.

good light weight carved top les paul

the g310 equivilant, a step below the LP studio.

why? BOLT on neck and lightweight body

this is a damn good guitar that can get you where you wanna go.

you mentioned putting in new pups and such.

that will defintaley make it sound much better.

doesnt beat the ebony LP std at 399, tho. which is a more worthwhile instrument
