fiddler51
I just regained a vintage 1967 J-50 after 14 years of seeing it held hostage. I'd forgotten that not only was the bridge rosewood, but the bridge saddle was as well. Is this something that Gibson did in just 1967? I'm not seeing any other J-50's from previous years with this. The guitar has enormous volume and a tone that you'd dream about. Serial # 309822 Thanks, Bruce
fp
A rosewood saddle was the norm for those in that time frame. I've seen the white ceramic saddles thru 66.

pschaafs
My 1969 J-50 came with an adjustable rosewood saddle, but it now has a nonadjustable bone saddle and sounds much better for it
