charlie brown
I have often wondered, why so many of the Epi's have the Logo so close to the top, of the headstock, and not "optically centered" (as they were more often done, in the "Kalamazoo" era, and before), in it's position, instead. I really noticed it, on the new "Swingster," especially. Just curious... CB
Parabar
The Swingster also has the vine inlay moved down toward the fingerboard, leaving a larger black space between the vine and the "Ephiphone" logo. This looks odd to me as well --- at first I thought they left off part of the vine design, but on closer inspection saw it was just moved lower, different from the Joe Pass model. charlie brown
Yeah...looks like a "mistake," huh? Even if it's not... The logo on the JL Re-issue, is about right. Could be even a little bit lower...but, it's decent. But, so many Epi's seem to have a much higher logo position, for some strange (to me) reason? lpfan
I am just guessing but there preventative maintenance and machine setup/inspections are probably being neglected.
