pohatu771
Guitar Center's website shows a used McCartney Texan (in the used section) for only $680. I wouldn't be posting it here except that it's left-handed. If it weren't, it would be at my house already. It's in Palmdale, CA, but I'm sure shipping can be arranged. They call it a Texan USA, but even if it's a Japanese version, it's still a great deal.
Harrison
checked it out, it has a 6" crack in its back, they said matbe from humidity - is it worth fixing??
pohatu771
It depends on how much the repair would cost. I saw a McCartney Texan in a store once which also had a cracked back - repaired. The store owner said that he heard it was a fairly common issue. He blamed it on extra-thin wood, coupled with humidity (or lack of).
peeper
Expect to pay $100 per inch on a crack like that. So is it worth $1200 to ya??

Palmdale, CA is in the high desert. Low humidity and temperature extremes there. Probably improperly maintained/stored by the previous owner.
