Angusthegod
I just bought a vintage G400 today, got home, played it, and noticed that the rhythm volume knob is completely loose, still working, stays together, but moves around in its place.... I'm wondering what I would have to do to fix this, and how..... Just screws? Completely new knob? etc.
brad1
Who did you buy it from? Take it back and tell THEM to fix it. Screws? What screws are you talking about? Why is it moving around? Is it just the knob moving, or is it the whole pot? Pull off the knob. Is there a crack in the knob? IF so glue it back. If it just isn't fitting right then you'll probably have to buy some more. I don't know if you can just buy one. They usually come in sets of 4, sometimes 2. Good Luck.
Guest icantbuyafender
Its probably got a loose dress nut. Tightening it should fix it.
jcwillow777
The pots have a split shaft. Pull the knob off and just use a screw driver and gently widen the gap so the knob fits snug. If you don't feel comfortable doing it, take it back to where you got it and have them fix it.
