Casino Owners - What are your favorite dirt pedals?

Hey Casino Breathren!

I know we all love our Casinos the most when we play'em clean....well at least I do. There is nothing like it.

But when you guys want to add some dirt, what are you guys using? I'm trying to think of options for a new flavor. I currently play my IBJL Casino into a 72 SF Pro Reverb.

For dirt, I use either a Menatone Top Boost in a Can, a BYOC Triboost, or a Dano Cool Cat Transparent OD.

Let's hear what you guys are pluggin into!

I have an old (80's) Tokai overdrive I like, but I actually get the same effect turning up the gain on my blues jr. I also have a little big muff pie which is cool sometimes

and lately I've resurrected my Boss GT-8 through my blues jr., turning off the speaker sims and trying different things with it.

I love my Casino straight into my Blues Jr because it just sounds so good, but I have a set of pedals that I do usually plug into for different stuff.

I usually go Casino > Vox wah > Boss BD2 (Blues Driver for Dirt) > Fulltone FB3 (Fat Boost) > Boss RX20L Loop Station > Ernie Ball Volume Pedal > Blues Jr.

With the Blues Driver, I usually keep the gain setting under 3:00 on the dial as it tends to mush up over that, Tone dial is at about 9:00 and volume to taste. The Fulltone is what I can either use for a clean boost or add additional boost to the BD2. A lot of the time, I just leave the FB3 on as it adds a very nice balance and depth to the tone of both my electrics. If I wanted, I could use just the FB3 as a great OD pedal as well by turning up the gain setting.

Here is a photo of my pedal setup at home.

I have Boss DS-1' date=' Boss BD-2 and an Ibanez Tube Screamer, all on relatively low gain settings with some compression too [biggrin']

You know, I love compression when playing my 57 AVRI Stratocaster, but I've never really liked it when playing my Casino....made it sound TOO held back. Maybe I just never dialed it in right.
