pohatu771
I've got a week off in a bit, and I figured I'd rewire my Casino over that time, since it's long overdue. Should I install US pots or metric? Will the US pots fit without additional drilling? I don't really want to do that again. What should I use for P-90s? All the diagrams I'm finding are for Les Pauls with humbuckers and I've been told there are differences. I'm replacing the knobs anyway, so it doesn't matter which pots I get, as long as they'll fit. vomer
I don't know about pot hole size on the Casino, I would assume that if you have the usual metric pots then you may have to expand the holes as I did on the Sheraton. When I put GFS Dream 90's in my Sheri I left the CTS 500K pots which I had previously installed with humbuckers. The 500k's give a bright tone, and through my Valve Jr (with no tone controls) I keep the tone control to 7 or below. Some folk prefer 300K pots with P90's. I also kept the .047mf capacitors which Seymour Duncan's wiring diagrams recommend for buckers and P90's.
Strumbone
I bought an assembly of upgrade pots from fellow forum member Twang, and stock holes fit fine...no enlargement necessary. I think the pots were alpha minis, but I may be wrong. As for pups, I went with SD Antiquities.
