Epiphone Non-Reverse Firebird

Is Epiphone planning to' date=' or have they already done a Non-Reverse Firebird?

[biggrin

If they ever did make one, it hasn't been for many, many years. I love Firebirds, but Epi have rarely done the model justice in my opinion. I once found a really nice example of a reverse Epi 'bird in a used guitar shop in my home town. Through neck, banjo tuners, mini-hums - the whole shooting match. Should have bought it, but I didn't and have never found another one like it.

The Epi Firebirds you are most likely to encounter are all reverse: the Korean made ones from the 1990s with the bolt-on neck (total and utter crap, avoid like the plague); the Firebird VII from the early 2000s (set-neck, not through neck, but still a nice guitar); and the studio model they still make today (full-sized hums and a set neck = a funny shaped G-400 in my opinion).

But, like you, I'd love to get my hands on a reverse Firebird.

Closest I can think of at the moment is the Eastwood Stormbird:

Can't say I'm desperate to track one down though. I keep hoping Epi will come up with goods (one day).
