Left handed models

Can anyone give a list of left handed models provided by Epiphone? I know about the Les Paul family, SG, Shertaton/Casino/Dot et al but what about some of the other models out there from the Epiphone range?

I saw some pics of a tv yellow Les Paul Special that had me drooling but I just bet that there's no lefty option:-({|=

Aw c'mon, can't you just learn to play righty?

Just kidding!

I don't think the new Special SC comes in a lefty version. I did some searching and it looks like you are right, the Epi leftys are confined to LPs, Sheris, Dots, Casinos and SGs. But you could always ping Gibson customer service to make sure. Or call a lefty specialty store like these:

Also, Rondo Music sells a boatload of lefty models: http://www.rondomusic.com/electricguitarleft.html

Check out this lefty Special copy for $259: http://www.rondomusic.com/ad201vwhleft.html

For new guitars, take a look at the Epiphone site. The "Finish" portion of the guitar specs will list a left-handed color if that model is available as a lefty. If you're interested in used guitars, there are Joe Pass Emperor II's and some Firebirds have shown up on Ebay. There have been no new Casinos since production moved to China.

Yeah, think I saw one of those firebirds - very tempting. Been some cheap specials too (just not that great looking tv yellow model) I'm actually leaning towards a strat or tele for my next GAS attack as I'm in the mood for some single coil maple neck action. Fender also offer some nice finishes in lefty models - I really like the butterscotch blonde Mexican tele which looks just like Springsteen's

does anyone on the forum have feedback on the guitars at Rondo? They have quite a range of lefty models. Are they at all comparable with Epiphones?

Depends on the guitar - non symmetrical shapes like the Les Paul don't really lend themselves to being converted very well. Even with models like the SG you still have the controls etc upside down which can be a pain. In one respect there are more left handed models out there than ever before which means you don't have to flip right handed guitars but it is annoying how limited the choice of colours and styles is. I know the reasons for this are mostly economic - I make up too small a market to got to the trouble of investing in more than a couple of different models/colours - doesn't make it suck any less though!

I had an SX Tele' date=' that cost about $100 and well....you get what you pay for. It wasn't a bad guitar, but it needed some help to bring it up to snuff. I haven't owned an Agile, but hear they are comparable to EPI's.

If you want to step up a notch, go with a Hagstrom. They should be readily available by you.

Here is a shot of my Super Swede:

This is my 1st Haggie, but it won't be my last, I'm keeping my eyes open for a Viking.

Epi has most models (Les Pauls, SG's, Casinos, etc) availble in a left-handed orientation.

I have three Fender Strats, a 1978 Gibson Custom, a Carvin Bolt and a Epi Les Paul Elitist - all lefties. The best bang for the buck are the lefty Carvins and the Epi Elitist. You can catch them on eBay for 40 to 60% of retail. What are you looking for?

Carvins all day for that. Purchased my lefty epi lp for $400.00 w/gibson (pots) upgrades. And, true, epi les paul elite/elitist are getting a good price these days. You can get one for $500-900 they're still a great deal. Lefty guitars, although not as common, typically can be had for less than a similar right-handed model.
