dougg330
Two colorful scores from EBay: a '96 Howard Roberts in TransBlack, and a '96 Sorrento in rose metallic. Had both setup by Steve Morrill, a fantastic luthier in Boston, and both are playing and sounding fantastic. Have to find a way to ditch the yard and house chores for a while this weekend and get some playing time in. [/img]

Your link isn't working so just tell her you are going outside to do some work, and then 'work' on getting us some 'garden' shots of the toys!! Good for you and have fun! brianh
Weird, I can't figure it out either. http://img192.imageshack.us/i/newepis.jpg Nice guitars though, really like the Howard Roberts, and the pink Sorrento is....unusual... Enjoy!
dougg330
Okay, I fixed the link in my post. There's only one shot of the 2 guitars together, but you'll get the idea. I just put down the Sorrento - and very reluctantly. It plays so well!!! The neck is thinner than the necks on my other Epis, but it's super comfortable and really fast. After he fixed a few wonky frets, my luthier put risers under both pickups to boost them closer to the strings and improved the pickup response about 1000%. Charlie Brown was right - the Sorrento has a very different sound from my Casino, even tho they're both thin hollowbodies with P-90s. And the Howard Roberts is so cool - the mini-hum sounds like it's starting to go microphonic, but it's sill damn fine. I am one happy guy.

smips65
:- Very nice pair of gits there. Hated letting my Sorrento go, I found the skinny neck to be very hard to play.
