JTR410
Would it be a pain in the you know what to install these pickups in a Synapse? Link below: Model M 6 Pickups
Eagle
New pots would also be needed but it is a relatively straight forward job. Do you not like the EMGs?
JTR410
EMGs are nice, however, they just sound sterile to me sometimes.
Variant
EMGs are nice' date=' however, they just sound sterile to me sometimes.[/quote'] You might want to try Semyor Duncan Blackouts, they have an EMG sized retrofit, and a lot of Blackout buyers say they don't have the 'sterile' sound that they claim EMG's have. Me, I've got no issues with sound of the EMGs.

Mincercat
I did not like the EMGs at all- they were replaced with a Duncan APH-1 in the neck and a Custom Custom in the bridge...and a 5 way switch. All is right in the world now.

Mincercat
What options did you wire on the 4pole switch? 1: neck 2: inside coils of both HB 3: both HB 4: outside coils of both HB 5: bridge HB you have to reverse the magnet in one pickup to make 2 & 4 hum cancelling though.
