Question on this Zakk Wylde Camo

Greetings all,

I am looking for more information on this Gibson Custom Zakk Wylde Signature Les Paul Camo/Bulls-Eye. What concerns me is the back of the headstock. It is not numbered or look the same as other Camo/Bullseyes on the internet and the the serial number is not described as the Gibson serial number website says it should be for this custom guitar.

Zakk Wylde Les Paul

Bullseye and the rare "Rough Top" version numbered in sequence as "ZW xxx"

Camo version numbered in sequence as "ZPW xxx"

The serial number listed is 90726677. Below our some links to pictures of the back of the head stock.

Why are you even confused?

Here are pics of the rest of the guitar. It may very well be a fake, but I just don't know enough about it. There are many blemishes on and under the protective finish which may not come out in the pictures.

I got it for $400 and it sounds very nice, even if it is a fake.

You've been done.

They usually cost about $260.

I'm a bit sorry for you; but you really should have asked before you bought.

Hey; at least it sounds nice.

Thanks for the info! Yeah, I bought it for looks maybe 8 years ago. I overpaid when I got this for $400 but it's also the cheapest guitar I've bought (although I've only bought 3). No, I'm not really a guitar player anymore and I just have this laying around. I wanted to know more about it if I choose to sell it. I might have gotten scammed, but I won't do that to someone else. Anyways, with it being a cheap fake then I'll just save it for my son to play when he gets older. You don't have to worry about breaking a cheap guitar like this.

Does it have fake EMG's?

Oh god...

LOL!

If EMG's are the worst-sounding p-ups in the world then what do fake EMG's sound like?

The 'second-worst' sounding? Which would, presumably, make them better than Real EMG's?

:-k

The EMGs look real but I wouldn't know how to tell if they were fake. Like I said, the electronics actually sound pretty nice.

Hey; we're all just mucking around.

And ZW doesn't exactly go for the 'purity of the PAF tone' thing anyhow.

By far and away the most important thing is that you enjoy your playing.

As has been mentioned a million times before; give a good player a playable guitar and they will still sound good.
