dchale
I turned 50 last week and my wife surprised me with an ebony Les Paul Traditional Pro! I have to admit that I did plant a couple ideas in her head. She bought it at the local Guitar Center and since Musician's Friend is currently including the Epiphone case for free, they included the case! Since I've never posted a pic of my other Epiphone, here it is as well: Now if only my skill level matched the quality of the guitars, I'd really have something. Oh well, back to practice! dchale
Congrats! Nice guitars I'm turning 50 next June..... how did you do it with the wife........ I have to convince my wife, too  Thanks! Since I was born in 1960, my first suggestion for a gift was a 1960 Corvette, second was a 1960 Les Paul Tribute and 3rd was the Traditional Pro. The Corvette was an obvious ploy to make the guitars seem reasonable. I'm very happy with the Traditional Pro, she didn't seem like she was going to bite on the 1960 Tribute so I gave her a little less expensive option. animalfarm
DC - You are a very fortunate guy to have a wife that will do something like that for you! BOTH guitars are definitely "eye candy", gorgeous! Does this NOW obligate you to come up with an EQUALLY outstanding surprise? (heh, heh, heh). I'm turning 50 next June..... how did you do it with the wife........ I have to convince my wife, too  Pete.R - Just do THIS over and over and over - she'll get the message!!! (or RUN like h*ll....)

Gordy01
Very nice guitars, both of them. Midiman speaks VERY highly of his LP Traditional Pro. And he's a pro, so in my books that is high praise indeed.

dchale
Congrats! Looks nice. How does those probucker pups sound? Alan I need to get some better strings on it but even with the factory strings the pickups sound good. The bridge pickup is pretty hot. The neck pickup doesn't have anywhere near the crunch of the bridge pickup but that's by design, according to the specs the neck pickup is a Alnico Classic Pro Humbucker and the bridge pickup is a ProBucker-3. Between the two I can get some pretty nice tones. I definitely like the ProBucker-3, I'm not completely sold on the Classic Pro yet.
