drumrnmuzik
Hi guys, My buddy, a fantastic jazz teacher and artist, told me that his L4 pickgurad crumbled apart and only after 20 years... He wants an original Gibson replacement, no copies for him. Does anyone know how he can get one? Thanks.
drumrnmuzik
Guess not ehhh. No close to the factory guys out there today? I showed my buddy the website, pickguards.com. No good, he only want original. I guess that I can't blame him too much, it's 20 years old and he want to preserve the authenticity.
BigKahune
Have him contact Gibson C/S, email or phone. They may be able to help him out with a Gibson replacement. http://www.gibson.com/en-us/Support/ Finding a factory original is going to be very tough. BobB
Your friend might find an original pickguard by doing a Google search for vintage and used guitar parts suppliers or checking sites like eBay.
St James
I do not have there website address available but if anyone has it it would be VINTAGE PARTS DRAW.....expect to pay for it but I agree NO REPRO PARTS !!!! Also a great site to find Vintage stuff is VINTAGE GUITAR MAGAZINE....that and BLUES REVUE are the only rags I get the others write a GOOD article depending on HOW MUCH YA PAID...though GUITAR PLAYER does do some decent reviews but then again how can ya trust em when ya now they take PAYOLA for GOOD articles. Hope that helps, many places in NYC that are just Guitar shops but have a ton of used Vintage parts. St james
