Sinner 13
So a couple years ago when I got my LPJ I didn't like how sticky the neck was so I stripped the Nitro, leaving me to find a gorgeous piece of mahogany underneath . so I stripped the rest of the guitar, then waxed it with butchers wax. looks good but I want to step it up a notch. I have decided to go with a tung oil finish, maybe a mahogany stain just to help the grain pop a little better. My question is, polymerized, or pure? Japan dry to speed the dry time? so you guys out there that have worked with this feel free to chime in with any / all advice, and knowledge on the subject. -Thanks in advance-

Dub-T-123
If you don't get an answer here, try the luthiers corner at MLP or the Fender forum. A lot of guys on the Fender forum finish their "partscasters" with tung oil. I'd try MLP though.
G McBride
I did a Telecaster that I built and used the gun stock finishing tung oil that you can pick up in any sporting goods department. Long process and takes a lot of thin coats with a little light scuffing between coats. Wipes on and builds up a fantastic shine. Neck was not sticky at all, used a little steel wool to give the neck more of a satin smooth slick finish.
