He could have removed the mask (there is no mask) and Bucket and stayed with GNR if he wanted that. (OK maybe GNR is a bad example lol) Clearly that did not interest him. He does it for the sheer love of the music and he has massive output. (Some awesome, some mediocre) Point is, he has an incredible freedom to do what he wants to do and probably makes a decent living off of it. That said, his fans take his music very seriously, as you all know hahahaha....its ok that everyone doesn't get it or like it. I think he likely prefers it that way.
