epi-curious
I'm looking to replace the pickups in one of my G400s with the Tonerider rocksongs, which are somewhat overwound Alnico II pickups. Does anyone have any experience with these?

bigneil
Groovy, once you have them installed the alnico II's, let us know how they sound.
epi-curious
Groovy, once you have them installed the alnico II's, let us know how they sound. I haven't installed them yet but I picked them up - I'll install them on Friday. Just as an aside; the Tonerider website lists two dealers in the USA. One of them is in the next town over from me so I sent an email and asked if I could just drop by and pick them up. Sure, no problem! So I had them the day I bought them! alfsboy
Perhaps I can help .I havnt been on for a while mainly due to the fact I sold my Epi Dot .I fitted Tonerider Rocksongs and they are great ,nice crystal cleans and dirty not muddy when overdriven .They are fine for a useful tone range .I had them in my Dot block SE limited edition .I thoroughly recommend them . If you want a hotter pickup Tonerider do some hot versions as well. They have nickel covers too ,not chrome .I only sold my Dot as its a bit heavy and big for an old sqidget like me .Wish Epiphone would make a 339 size .
