DanS
For those of you who own A Gibson Custom Shop KOA Songwriter, please tell me your impressions of it and if you feel it is worth the investment over some other Gibson acoustic. Thanks. Dan
onewilyfool
I'm kind of interested too....are these good sounding with the koa top? How much are they new? Used??? Let's hear some reviews...
albertjohn
I played an all Koa version a couple of months ago and it was completely brilliant. Can't describe the tone but compared to my spruce over rosewood version it sounded less complicated, purer, but perhaps not as warm? I loved it and for the price (about £2k in UK) it's not expensive IMHO. I also played a spruce over koa version a year or so ago and like that alot too. Again in comparison with mine it had more character but less balls. Reminded me more of a Hummingbird I recall. Lovely guitars!
