MK-72

I am a new member and would like to see if those who may own an MK-72, what they think about it and what is the worth of this guitar?

They were built from 1975 to 1978. For more info, just Google "Gibson MK-72". The value is hard to say, because both supply and demand are small, and so there aren't a lot of sales. Dealers have been known to ask anything up to $2000, but the typical selling price seems to be more like $500. Maybe less.

KS Daddy is the resident GURU about these guitars, often they have structural problems, sinking tops, loose neck blocks....etc.....he know all about them. I think the lower number models used mahogany and EI Rosewood, some of the higher number model numbers have Brazilian.......lots of info on line....

Here in the UK, you'd expect to pay £700 for a MK72, £550 or so for a MK53 and £3-400 for a MK35.

They're steadily increasing in value and are quite uncommon, but are still affordable if you can find a good one.
