Jeff-7
Guessing by the digits you've got a 1980 model, September 11th (leap year) manufactured in Nashville. A picture of what you're working with would be nice.

Previous owner took it completely apart & sanded it down to the bare wood.. altho there are a few missing parts, I will try to get a picture up asap, as it looks straight, No warps or cracks, just needs to be refinished. NeoConMan
Jeff is right on the serial number. Sounds like a fixer-upper. You can call Gibson Customer Service at 1-800-444-2766 and possibly learn what it was originally. Restore it as such, or just do your own thing, eh? Good luck with it.
