EpiEric Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Saw that Epiphone posted this to their Twitter page today: http://www.epiphone.com/news.asp?NewsID=2033 I guess they announced it at NAMM, but I had overlooked it. I actually think it's kind of cool. Wonder what the street price will be?
brianh Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 This European site has them for 85 Euro which is about $115 USD: http://www.musik-schmidt.de/gb-Epiphone-Les-Paul-Concert-Ukulele-Outfit-HCS.html http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-AJN7SV0JD4 I'd guess they'll blow them out for $99 on sale.
TommyK Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 I can dig it! Just in time for > Ukulele Appreciation Day Feb 13, 2011 <
EpiEric Posted February 9, 2011 Author Posted February 9, 2011 I would probably consider one of these at $99 assuming that they are comparable quality to other ukes in this price range. Much more than that and it gets a little rich for me for something that would mainly be a "toy" for me...
bonzoboy Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 Certainly has a cool vibe to it-does it have a pickup?
EpiEric Posted February 10, 2011 Author Posted February 10, 2011 Certainly has a cool vibe to it-does it have a pickup? Yes, it has an under-saddle piezo. Epiphone have the full specs up here: http://www.epiphone.com/news.asp?NewsID=2033 Sam Ash has them up for pre-order now at $99 U.S. I'd certainly consider one at that price. I'd like to see and touch one in person first.
