Rizal
Hi all. As some of you might know, that I am in search of getting an LP. I found this ad on our local (sort of an ebay like) website. Do any of you know if it is a fake? The price seems low though. 3 photos are posted, one of which shows the serial no 00170423 The currency rate is 1 to 3.05. Meaning 1 USD is 3.05 of the local currency. http://www.mudah.my/Gibson+Les+Paul-8570323.htm Thanks in advance.

pippy
If you look at the bridge studs in the third snap you'll see they have screw-heads visible... Gibson doesn't use this style of bridge. P.
Rizal
Thank you. But the site you posted only give the details of the serial no. So, how do I tell whether the guitar is real? And since people can fake a guitar, I am sure they can fake the serial no (using a real serial no seen on a real guitar, and copying it) I hope those 3 photos posted on the ad site would give some indications. Anyway, I have called the seller, and it is not original. The word he used was 'replica'. So, they actually copied the serial no etc.
