stevierussell
Hi Guys, Looking for background info on the Epiphone Vibrato model I fitted to my beloved dot last year, purchased used off eBay, it's pretty much a match for the Bigsby B7 (in terms of dimensions). I've been searching to try and find out which models these were originally fitted to, the time span and years they were in production or whether they were an purchasable upgrade. I cannot find a single image on Google of an Epiphone with one of these fitted - just endless pictures of Epis with B7s on them Any info from those in the know would be greatly appreciated! stevierussell
thanks for the porn guys so I'm wondering when Epi switched to using Bigsbys instead of their own logo'd version
Parabar
The Epi "Vibratone," as it was called, was available on some Casinos and Sorrentos, Wildkats, and the Jorma Kaukonen Riviera from the late 90's through the early 2000's --- by 2005 they were Bigsby branded. I've seen some 2002 models with them, so the switchover could have occurred in 2003 or 2004.
stevierussell
thank you Parabar, much indebted. A google image search for vibratone has given great results. I'm presuming they were manufactured by Bigsby?
