Grog
After I picked up a Les Paul Triumph bass, I started reading up on & collecting a few other low impedance Les Pauls. They never really caught on or were very popular, now with Les Pauls passing, there seems to be a little more interest.
ksdaddy
I've owned two of the LP Personals, both '69s. They had the body that was a little bigger than a regular LP, with gold hardware, the microphone input, all that. Both played fantastic. If you wanted super clean uncolored tone they were great but they didn't have the punch and growl of a regular LP.
Grog
Cool! I've never had a chance to buy one, I had a shot at a Les Paul Jumbo once, but it wasn't in that great a shape. Finding guitars with gold hardware in nice shape is tough also. I checked out a L-5S, but decided against it. Here is a pic of my Les Paul Professional, the little brother to your Personals............
