ES-330 re-issue - anybody else excited to see this?

Between my Casino and my "Long Neck" 330, I like the long neck better. Not that I actually play that high, so I'm sure its psychological. I guess it's knowing I can if I want to :-k

Now if every musician in the world would buy just one of my Band-in-a-Box disks, I just might be able to afford that blue 330 <big grin>.

Hey Bob how you been?

Great thanks! And how have you been?

I'm still gigging and grinning. Things are a little slow' date=' it's summer and we are having NeoCon-non-trickle-down-economy blues. Nobody but Halliburton, Blackwater, GE, Exxon, BP/Amoco (British Petroleum/American Oil Company) and related defense and oil companies are making any money these days. And the big guys at the top seem to be skimming it so the stockholders don't get too much of their fair share. Oh well, election time is around the corner. There is always hope.

I could go on a political rant here, but this isn't the place for that =P~

So I'm afraid I'm going to be happy with my old Tobacco ES and my NAT Casino for a while.

The "season" in Florida starts around the end of October, so we shall see if it picks up. August and September are always slow, so I always get a little down at the mouth.

The Band-in-a-Box software business is holding steady, but it's a part-time sideline for me (but I love it).

Actually, if I got a third one, I'd put a couple of these on it (for the different sound)

But after all that down-at-the-mouth typing, things could get better, but they could definitely be worse. In other words, they are on the good side of the middle...Leilani and I are happy and healthy, we still have enough gigs to pay the mortgage, and all the hurricanes so far have missed us. Life is the perfect way to spend the time of day!!!

Take care,

Bob

Hey Bob--

Okay, now you've got me thinking. I really like my ES-125, and I wonder what one of those there pickups would sound like in it. Or what about two of them (bridge and neck)? I wandered over to the Duncan site and saw that there is also a stacked P-90 there that would be hum canceling. That could be the bee's knees, too. Have you heard any of these Duncan specialty pups?

And how did you get your post count run down to forty-five posts, my good man?

(By the way, hi to both you and Mark. I've been spending time elsewhere of late.)

No' date=' but he has a great reputation.

If and when the economy turns around and the band business or Band-in-a-Box business picks up, I'd like to get another Casino or 330 and put the dog-ear humbuckers in it.

Why?

I love the neck, shape, weight, and acoustic properties of the Casino/ES-330. I also love the sound of my P90s so I don't want to mess with my two beauties. But a third one with humbuckers will give me a different sound. Then I would get rid of my two-ton ESP/LTD/Faux-LP guitar (it's my only humbucker guitar).

Actually, for all the music I play in my duo [u']The Sophisticats[/u], the P90s work just fine. If I need a little growl, my Zoom G1X will do just fine. But I've got GAS.

I have no idea. Perhaps I've only posted 45 times, perhaps Gibson lost count, perhaps something happens because I clear my cookies automatically when I close my browser. I've got well over 350 on the Epiphone forum. I post there much more frequently because it isn't subdivided like this one (LPs, SG,s Hollows, etc., all in their separate groups) and it makes for more general conversation.
