chase1410 Posted March 12, 2011 Share Posted March 12, 2011 Thought I'd post my first Explorer here as well, here I replaced the original PG and TRC with custom 14 guage stainless steel. I LOVE the playability and tone of this guitar..Even though when I recieved the pickguard was actually ravaged...and I know it came straight from the factory. (got it online at AMS two days after being available)there was also no shrink wrap on the PG either...but everything else was perfect...not a fingerprint or scratch any where...But it was easily replaced and am real happy with the results. Yea Paul is a great guy to deal with, and the fact he makes the only real 14 guage Stainless Steel Pickguard's around...I was pretty skepitcal about at first..but the original PG i got from the factory had all these gashes on it..so I had to swap it out, and man do I love how it looks..It looks even in better in person IMO.
