fortyearspickn Posted September 20, 2008 Share Posted September 20, 2008 First, As Has Been Written - make sure whoever installs a heel strap button drills an appropriate sized hole. If the hole is too small or you just try to screw in the screw - you'll weaken the wood. Maybe even split it. Make sure that you drill the hole at the proper angle. Not easy on a heel. Second, why do we never see anymore those really outrageous straps that you hung over your head and the hangingconnection hook came under the middle of your guitar from the back and hooked on to the sound hole?
