abbeyroadman
Hi - Need some feedback from some of the Epi. electric experts: I'm considering a 1999 Epiphone Les Paul ES Limited Edition Hollowbody, cherry-sunburst, original owner, very good condition, recent set-up. What's a fair purchase price? Also, any insight about the guitar would be appreciated. Regards,

Regards, This one?: Theres one on Ebay: EPI ES and here's one that sold off a forum for $575 in MINT condition so the MN CL one is priced fairly I would think, although this one did have some pup upgrades, etc....offer him $550 SOLD EPI ES
brianh
These are cool and relatively rare Epis, but I think they're generally overpriced. Don't expect a lot of acoustic amplitude from a body with such a small internal air volume and stiff top.

Yes that is the one - I spotted it in the local Craig's L., wasn't aware of the eBay listing. Thank-you for the valuation estimate. I play acoustics' mostly (like 99%), have a Casino and thought the Les Paul would be a good addition. Regards,
musicmaker99
He's had that listed on CL in MPLS for quite some time (since middle of Winter)........When I compare it to other archtops (Emperor, Sheraton, Casino, Dot, Wildkat, Riviera, etc) that can be had used for a bit less, or a lot less, I felt the ES was just too much for what it is (even though I have chronic GAS for Hollowbodies). No doubt, it's a beauty but so is my WildKat and I scored it used for $275. In the final analysis it's what it means to YOU.
