dougg330 Posted August 9, 2011 Share Posted August 9, 2011 Coming from a background of "display", I would have to agree with the comment that the actual color could be altered by the lamps used in the lighting. The Kelvin ratings in florescent lamps can really change colors. Certain ratings can make Meat look good, but Produce look horrible. I would never make a paint color decision without natural lighting. And the same should be said for what color that guitar really is. As for the "trim" colors, gold top with black accents (pickups, pickguards, etc) gets my vote. + 1 on the flourescent problem. The color of the light they provide will give the gold top more of a green tinge. Give it some sunlight and see how it looks. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I don't have a problem with the black pickup covers at all, although I agree that it would look even cooler with cream pickups. I just don't think a black pickguard looks right on a goldtop.
