Vestapol
How do we know what "reissue" means? * Is "reissue" a casual term to mean any discontinued model that is revived, whether to original specs, or as an apporixamation, or as an upgrade? * Do manufacturers control the use and meaning? * Are there criteria in a formal definition set by some official sanctioning group? Vestapol
Yeah, that's about how it seems to me, Marvar. Funny, a guy once said the Squier Duo-Sonic reissue of Fender's 1959 Duo-Sonic should not be called a reissue...and he was not from a manufacturer's marketing department. retrorod
I am not a big fan of "reissues"! I think the term is applied 'loosely' and does not necessarily mean that the instrument is made to 'original specs'. I say, if you want 'original' then buy vintage....not reissue!
