Malchik
OK, so I'm a huge Les Paul Junior advocate. I have a USA Junior with the satin worn finish. I'd like to upgrade to something a little more durable and long lasting finish. I pretty much have two options available at the moment. I have the Billy Joe signature, which is the closest I can get to an original spec in the current catalog, or I can get the DC gloss yellow version available at American Musical Supply. Which, in your opinion, is the better guitar. Sadly, I currently can't afford a VOS model as much as I'd want to.
theForgottenCereal
Single-cutaway is the only Junior for me, so I would go with the BJA. But keep in mind that the BJA's pickup is a hum-canceling "H-90" as opposed to the classic P-90.
codename
I went with the BJA jr because I wanted a 60's neck and liked the leopard case and the better tuners. Wasn't too concerned about the PU as that could be replaced with a P-90 if desired , but turns out I'm happy with it although it's not as quiet as I expected.
